Job Summary:
This Maintenance Mechanic position is responsible for performing tasks related to machinery maintenance, mechanical machine repairs, inspection and testing of equipment, building maintenance and specific projects, and for performing all jobs safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant particularly in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR). 

Essential Job Functions:
• Install, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in the facility.
• Troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facility equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner.
• Maintain maintenance area in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Utilize maintenance systems as necessary to complete daily, weekly, monthly routine duties.
• Operate material handling equipment safely.
• Document work order completion status.
• Provide support to team in the predictive and preventative maintenance program.
• Participate and actively support all plant initiatives.
• Organize and define tasks with minimal supervision.
• Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
• Be accountable to TMI manufacturing food safety and quality principles.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or similar field with at least 2 years of related experience; or an Associate's Degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or similar field with at least 5 years of related experience.
• At least 5 years of experience with electro-mechanical technology maintenance will be considered in lieu of a degree. 
• Proficient knowledge and ability in welding, as well as electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Strong attention to detail with high degree of accuracy and precision.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
