My client is a major player in the capital market and requires filling the positions listed below.
1.Compliance officer:
Responsibilities:
To ensure the organization’s compliance with all SEC, NSE rules and regulations by providing necessary advice, training and risk assessment pertaining to all the firm’s broker/dealer activities.
Manage day to day operations of the compliance program.
Ensure timely rendition of regulatory filings e.g NSE Returns, SEC returns and Submission of Audited Accounts to FRC of Nig, SEC and NSE etc
Provide information to regulators timely and independently where rules are breached.
Experience: 5-7 years’ experience in capital Market or any financial institution
Qualification: First Degree in Banking and finance, Accounting, Business Management, Law, Economics or a chartered Secretary
• A background in Law is an added advantage
Skills:
• Good Compliance and Risk Management Knowledge
• Good understanding of global financial markets
• Good research skills
• Minimum of 5-7 years working experience in financial services preferably in an Investment Banking environment or stockbroking with at least 3 years of Compliance experience.
• Highly proficient in office suite(Excel, PowerPoint and word)
• Good understanding of the Investment Banking, Stockbroking processes and SEC’s regulatory framework
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, detail-minded and able to work under pressure.
2. Assistant Stockbroker
To ensure clients’ satisfaction by properly screening the market before recommendation and as well as providing possible advice.
• Handling clients mandates.
• Attending to/maintaining old & new clients.
• Preparing Automated Trading System (ATS) for the trader to go to the floor of the Stock Exchange.
• Preparing cheque requisitions for clients
Experience: Fresh graduate, may or may not have completed NYSC, with or without experience
Qualification: relevant degree in any discipline
Proficient in Microsoft Office is a must.
Skills: Smart, Ability to take valid initiative
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, detail-minded and able to work
under pressure.
