An agricultural processing firm needs a chartered accountant to function as
Head of Finance and Administration
Scope of work include:
· Financial and human resource management.
· Maintaining the relevant books of accounts to enable the preparation of the relevant financial statements for both internal and external uses.
· Ensuring effective internal control including budgetary control.
· Management of the tax exposures of the company and the employees.
· Stores control.
· Pension management
· Payroll management
· Fixed Assets management.
Competences:
· Sound knowledge of IFRS, management accounting including standard costing and transfer pricing.
· Excellent tax management skills including rendition of the relevant monthly tax returns and other returns.
· Excellent knowledge of booking in a manufacturing company may be an advantage.
· Computer literacy with excellent working knowledge of micro-soft excel, power-point and word.
· Ability to use any of Sage Peachtree software, QuickBooks or any other accounting package would be an advantage.
· Highly level of communication and motivation skills.
· Ability to work under pressure.
· Knowledge of the Pension Reform Act.
· Ability to control very complex group of subordinates including both skilled and unskilled.
Qualities and age
· Smart and amiable.
· A team player and ability to accept corrections.
· Ability to tolerate subordinates and help them grow in knowledge and competence.
· Non- smoking.
· Not more than 40 years old.
Qualifications
· Chartered Accountant- ACA, FCA, ACCA and
· A graduate of Accounting or any other business related field with BSc/BA 2.2 or HND lower Credit at minimum.
· Not less than 5 years relevant work experience.
Remuneration: N200, 000 and above (depending on level of competence)
Working location: Ogoja or Ikom in Cross River State.
